  Lifeboats - Fishing Industry - Town History - Education

Many of the lifeboat launches were made to save the lives of the fishing fraternity that were a prime source of the community’s livelihood. The collection includes a number of their boats.

The Enterprise was built by the Emery family c.1945 and donated to the Museum Trust in October 1997. Now fully restored.

The Windsor Rose, one of the last boats to be built by the Emerys and donated to the Museum Trust in November 1997.

The Molly Florence, a fully restored 16ft fishing boat donated to the Museum Trust by her last owner, she is believed to be the last surviving boat built by Johnny Johnson of Sheringham.
