Visit Windscape at Sheringham Museum where wind power comes to life.
Windscape is the Visitor Centre for the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farms located in the iconic building known as The Mo on Sheringham’s East Promenade (NR26 8BG).
The Visitor Centre was first opened in early 2011, and after receiving some 150,000 visitors over 14 years, it has undergone a complete update and refurbishment for the 2025 visitor season.
Windscape is a bright, interactive space, designed to appeal to visitors of all age groups by being split into six information and activity zones:
- Meet the Wind
- Echoes of the Past
- Gentle Giants
- Life at Sea
- Tools of the Trade
- Power to You
Interactive items, films, touchscreens, dress-up area and innovative graphic displays are designed to help people learn about the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, explaining the importance of offshore wind energy in Norfolk over years gone by through to the 21st century.
Powerful telescopes and binoculars have been installed to enable visitors to view the wind farms on clear days.
